The University of Nebraska at Omaha School of Public Administration offers a professionally oriented Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA). The MPA degree is the recognized graduate degree for professional positions focusing on public service.

The UNO MPA has been offered in Omaha since 1970. The Omaha program office and classrooms are conveniently located on the University of Nebraska at Omaha's North Campus in the mid-town area. Parking is accessible; most classes are in Allwine Hall which is close to the Milo Bail Student Center and the UNO Library. Allwine Hall provides spaces for studying and relaxing before and after class. In addition, the MPA program maintains a Public/Nonprofit Career and Professional Development Center in the Engineering Building adjacent to Allwine Hall.

UNO's graduate public administration program is among the first accredited MPA programs in the U.S., so you can be assured of a high-quality degree program meeting national standards of professional education. In addition, the UNO graduate Public Administration program is nationally ranked.

The School of Public Administration at UNO has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Graduate Schools (2009 edition) as one of the nation's top programs. Public Affairs rankings, UNO ranked 27th nationally and tied for 15th place among public institutions.

  • Public management administration ranked 15th nationally and 10th among public universities;
  • City management and urban policy ranked 13th nationally and 10th among public universities;
